According to Danish Shipping (The association of Danish Shipowners), the Danish fleet is growing in leaps and bounds.

Between April 2017 and April 2018, the Danish flagged merchant fleet has grown by 25 pct. in size. This corresponds to a growth in gross tonnage by 3.8 million GT in just one year – the largest leap ever for the Danish fleet. By April 2018, 703 ships fly the Danish flag.

More than half of these are offshore vessels and specialized vessels - but measured in gross tonnage, the container segment by far accounts for the largest part of the fleet.

In just one year, Denmark has advanced from number eight to number six on the global list of operator nations. Denmark is now ahead of both Germany and South Korea – and only 1.5 million GT away from the global top five.

Copenhagen Shipping Summit is designed to create the physical frame for networking and business in the professional international maritime industry, with a keen focus on Danish shipowner representatives. The event takes place in The Øksne Hall, Copenhagen, Denmark 10-11. April 2019, 09:00 – 17:00 both days.

The Øksne Hall is chosen as it is a unique hall located in one of Copenhagen's most trendy neighborhoods, the old Meat Packing District. There venue offers good logistics, both for public transport and parking. The two main shipping clusters in Amaliegade and Hellerup is less than 30 min. away on bike. The official Summit hotel is the brand new Scandic Kødbyen, located a 5-minute walk from The Øksne Hall.

In the Øksne Hall there will be 3 conference rooms (total 420 pax.) and we can present a relevant conference agenda based on the 4 official themes: The Future of Shipping, Maritime Recruitment Trends - Ashore and At Sea, Empowering Women in the Maritime Community & Sustainable shipping. BIMCO, Lloyds Register, YoungShip Denmark, Danish Engineers Association, MDC (Maritime Development Center), Green Jakobsen and Danish Ecological Council have chosen to arrange sessions. The conferences will be held in short 2,5/3 hours sessions allowing the participants good time in the exhibition. There will be 12 sessions and they are all free to attend.

At the end of the first day, we are hosts for the Executive Dinner for 350 people in H C Andersen Castle in Tivoli.

Organizers ensure relevant visitors through a direct targeted process, based on dialogue with the shipping companies, but also with a rather impressive online campaign. This is the first maritime mega event in Denmark offering free entrance to both the conferences and the exhibition and the short session-based program is designed to allow shipowner representatives from owners like Maersk, Norden, Torm, Lauritzen, Svitzer, Ultraship, Clipper Group, Nordic Tankers, Scandlines and DFDS to participate some hours while still taking care of business.

There are 5.000m2 of exhibition space. The first 1/3 was booked in only 2 months and the exhibition is presenting pavilions from Sweden, Finland, Germany and The Netherlands. See floor plan

We offer very attractive prices on Turn Key Stands that are built with 2.5m rear wall. They are supplied with navy blue carpet, 1 coffee table and two café chairs, power outlets (1.5kw), daily cleaning, wifi, online catalog and 1 E-Point app license allowing visitor cards to be scanned for later follow-up. Turn key Stands are offered from 4 to 12 m2.
